Not sure about the other reviewer, but these have worked fine for me. I've ordered at least 5 of the 4GB black versions, not one has had an issue. It's easier to put the blame on the product versus the operator. :-)

I purchased both the 16GB and 4GB version of this item because of its size both physically and digitally. I had issues with both out of the carton but was able to finally reformat the 16GB drive. I haven't had the same luck with this one, the 4GB version, and I've been working at both of them for 4 days. I'm going to try to replace it, but don't hold out much hope of the next one working based on the trouble with both of them and what I've found on the internet at various technical websites as well as the HP (name on the flash drive) and PNY (actual manufacturer) sites. Good luck if you decide to take a chance. BTW, I also tried low level formats on both. I performed the low-level format once on the 16GB drive with sucess but numerous times on the 4GB device with no success.
